CAROLL ROBERT WRIGHT

March 23, 1965 – July 31, 2024

Caroll’s parents, Yvette and Gillis Robert, left Canada in pursuit of the American dream, eventually settling in Rockville, Maryland, where Caroll was born. Her father, Gilles, was a construction worker who moved the family to Lake Worth, Florida, following other family members, and this is where Caroll grew up.

Caroll was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 15. She traveled to Gainesville every week for chemotherapy treatments and successfully beat the disease, going on to live a happy and normal life. However, in 2017, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Caroll underwent chemotherapy and radiation again, making 2018 one of the toughest years of her life, but she overcame it. Sadly, in June 2024, the cancer returned and ultimately took her life.

Caroll spent 58 of her 59 years in Palm Beach County, where she created countless memories and formed lasting friendships. Her parents instilled in her a strong work ethic, and Caroll was known for her dedication and respect. She was admired by colleagues and cherished by many, often helping create positive work environments for others.

During her childhood, Caroll was part of the Purdy Lane gang and attended Kirkland Elementary School, Jefferson Davis Middle School, and graduated from John I. Leonard High School in 1983. She went on to study at Florida Atlantic University.

Caroll began her career as a bank teller before moving into accounting and payroll roles at Ocwen, Islands Hospitality, and other companies, eventually concluding her career at Expediter.

Caroll had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed activities like airboating, fishing, diving, snorkeling, and hunting. She was passionate about saltwater and was actively involved with the Florida Sportsmen’s Conservation Association (FSCA), Friends of the J.W. Corbett, and the Florida Airboat Association, volunteering much of her time to these organizations.

Caroll is survived by her mother, Yvette; her husband, Bishop; her brothers, Paul and Mike (Mary); her niece and nephew, Taylor, Tyler, Kathryn, Carlie, Philip, and Hunter. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Sharon; her father-in-law, Bishop Sr.; and her brothers-in-law, Eddy and Stephen (Amy).

One of Caroll’s favorite pastimes was taking painting classes with friends, enjoying wine, laughter, and socializing. She loved spending time at Camp Tiger, where she could relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Caroll embraced life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone around her. Her vibrant personality lit up any room she entered, leaving smiles on the faces of all who had the pleasure of knowing her
